This is the kind of product that makes me smile. It’s a modern PC that is quite powerful for the size, but it gets me right in the feels because of its classic design inspired by a piece of tech that influence me so much.

The AM-02 is a Mini PC capable of running the latest games, and it even has USB-4 ports. It comes with Windows 11 Home Edition preinstalls but it also supports Linux distros if you prefer to make a development machine out of it.

AYANEO AM-02

The very gadgety thing this PC has is a touch screen on the top that allows you to do various actions like start a program, control the volume or even view the FPS of the game you are currently playing. It has active and passive cooling to chill its internal since it does not cheap out on the components.

Here are the specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS
  • DDR5 5600MHz Dual Channel | SO-DIMM Slot X2
  • 16 / 32GB | Expandable up to 64GB
  • 512GB / 1TB
  • M.2 2280 PCle 4.0 Inter face x1 | Compatible with NVMe 1.4 and SATA 3.0
  • Supports up to 8TB Dual-Sided Particle SSD
  • No Pre-Installed Hard Disk and Memory for Barebone
  • WIFI 6E / BT 5.2
  • M.2 2230 Wi-Fi Card
  • 4* Multifunction Touch Screen
  • AYASpace Software Independent Control

That screen is very intriguing!

And some of it’s connections:

  • Full-Featured USB4 Type-C ×1
  • USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A x2
  • USB 2.0 Type-A x2
  • HDMI 2.0 x1
  • DP 1.4 x1
  • 3.5mm 2-in-1 Audio Jack x1
  • RJ45 2.5G Ethernet Port x1
  • RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port x1
  • USB Type-C Power Port x1

Button, front flap, OMG

Starting at 439$ as the early bird on IndieGogo, this is the barebone system where you add your own memory and SSD. For 529$ you get 16GB of memory and 512GB.
