 Watch Try-On Impressions

So I went for a try-on of the  Watch at the Sainte-Catherine’s store. Great experience!

First I tried the demo  Watch, the one that is in demo mode attached to an iPad. The interactions were great and the UI is very well done. I did notice though some animations issues. Let’s put this on the beta software fault.

Then, I asked for a spot on the try-on area and there was one available. Went to try the Sport Edition (space grey and regular) as well as the stainless steel. As expected the Edition is way to shiny. Loved the space grey aluminium with black band. If I had to pick one it would be this one.

I noticed the way the Apple employee introduced me the device is quite different from anything I saw before. I did have a suit, but I was wearing DC skater shoes and a tie, so this could influence his reaction a bit. Handshake, much more formal as before and most of all, darker t-shirts and no neck name tag. If I was not at a known venue, I could swear it was a different type of Apple Store.
