The campaign of this new electronic drum is going strong with a reason. Electronic drums have existed for many decades but I had yet to see a version that incorporated the newest types of sensors to allow drummers to do more with less.

BopPad

The BopPad is a single round tactile surface on which you can play with sticks, fingers or any type of object. There are 4 zones where you can assign sound or drum sound and it senses the velocity and strenght of the sticks impact. There is also radial sensitivity built in so you can slide your fingers from edge to center for effects.

This means that it can be used for regular drums, but also for beats. The software seems to be quite easy to configure and only needs a laptop to setup.

Best of all, the project is at 93,571$ at the moment and if it reaches 100,000$ it will unlock Full MIDI support to make the BopPad work with other drum machines and hardware.
